This problem has been faced by many people 'how to reset their e-mail id of e-filing account.'
This problem occurs due to email id provided is deleted or email id of friend or tax consultant which can not accessible by current user. Therefore you need to provide a new email id to incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. This will be done by using these following steps.
1. At first go to the e-filing website.(https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in)
2. Now click on Login Here button.
3. A new Login window will be open. Now click on Resend Activation Link.
4. Now select your User Type.
5. Enter your account's password and the new e-mail ID that you want to link to your efiling account . Also enter the image captcha code.
6. Finally click on submit button.
7. You will now return to Main Screen > Profile settings > View My Profile and the new registered e-mail ID provided will be visible.
8. Now update contact details.
Note:- Password by incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in will be sent on registered email ID as well as alternate email ID.
