Connectify is a newly released application that allows you to create a Wi-Fi hotspot without a Wi-Fi router. This means that you can share your internet connection with others through your laptops wi-fi adapter.
All your friends, co-workers or users having wi-fi enabled devices can connect to the internet through the wi-fi hotspot your laptop will create. You can also keep your wi-fi hotspot secure by password-protected WPA2 Encryption.

Requirements:
1. You need Windows 7 in order to run this software. Windows 7 Starter Edition is not supported as of now, as it lacks some of the features Connectify utilizes.
2. Older versions of Windows are not compatible.
Connectify has one drawback though—it only runs on Windows 7, as it is based on a technology hidden deep inside the operating system that doesn’t exist in Windows XP or Vista. We can’t make any promises, but there’s always hope that the developers will find a way to make it backwards compatible.

Steps for Creating a Hotspot:
1: Set your desired Hotspot name and password. PRO users can name their hotspot anything they want while Free users must start with “Connectify”
2: Select which Internet connection you’d like to share. Share the Internet connection from your Cable or DSL modem, the ethernet jack in your hotel room, a 3G or 4G modem, even another Wi-Fi network.
3: Click Start Hotspot, thats it! Other Wi-Fi devices such as laptops and smartphones will be able to see and connect to your hotspot just like any other access point.
